Kendyl never felt she belonged. Especially in her teenage years among her peers she was the outsider—unseen, unwanted, and lost in the shadows of depression. When her family moved away from everything familiar, the darkness only deepened. And when they finally moved back, she thought everything would be normal again. But nothing was the same. A series of sacred moments—at girls camp, at college, during childbirth and while leaning into her temple covenants—taught her something she hadn’t been certain she knew before: God saw her. He knew her. He loved her. But life’s battles weren’t over. After her first child, severe postpartum depression nearly cost her everything. Medications failed. Darkness pressed in. An afternoon in the ER brought her to the edge. Still, she clung to the only thing she knew to be true: God had made her promises, and He would not abandon her. Now, as her husband walks through his own challenges, Kendyl leans into grace. Through grief, financial concerns and spiritual wrestles, she’s learned the beauty of surrender. When all she has left to give is her two mites, the Lord multiplies it. This is a raw, holy story of survival, love, and relentless trust in a God who stays—even when the light disappears. “If I’m leaning on the Lord, I can take one more step.” TRIGGER WARNING:This episode includes discussion of suicidal ideation, depression, and suicide watch, which may be sensitive for some listeners. Please take care as you listen.
